It's All About Quality of Life

Gainesville Parks and Recreation is proud of its role in the quality of life our citizens covet. Our Agency operates and maintains eight major facilities, 21 parks and over 458+ acres of park land. We are steadfast in our commitment of building and preserving a parks and recreation system that meets the needs of our community.

More than 100,000 area residents participate in recreation opportunities that improve health, develop skills, build self-esteem, and bring families and friends together.

A vital component in our ability to serve our citizens and expand participation has been the implementation of our Vision 2014 Strategic Plan and its 5-Year Master Plan Update currently in progress. Your input will continue to be a necessary part of its success and we invite you to contact us with any ideas or concerns regarding your parks and recreation system.
