Public hearings set for proposed Gainesville Connection service changes

GAINESVILLE, Ga. (Aug. 20, 2020) – Gainesville Connection staff is considering three service changes that, if approved, would take effect this fall.

Proposed changes include:

  • Elimination of routes 20 and 30
  • Reduction in operating hours for routes 10, 40 and 50
  • Addition of WeGo, a new demand response transit service

The public is invited to weigh in on these changes at any one of four public hearings slated for:

  • 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at the Gainesville Connection Administration Building, located at 687 Main St., Gainesville
  • Noon Tuesday, Sept. 8, via Zoom – directions for which are provided below
