Downtown Gainesville's First Friday Concert Series will continue this August with a free outdoor concert by Fly Betty, North Georgia's favorite party band!
Set up your chairs/blankets on the lawn starting at 5 p.m., catch the end of the farmers market before 6:30pm, grab a bite and a beverage downtown or at a vendor in the park. The show starts at 7 p.m.!
Additionally, we will live stream the concert on Downtown Gainesville's Facebook Page, so those at-risk of COVID-19 can still enjoy the show safely from home.
Social Distancing will be required, and masks are encouraged while not eating or drinking.
Patrons are encouraged to bring picnic blankets to mark off an area for their friends and family group to safely enjoy the concert.
Patrons who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days or display any symptoms of being sick are asked not to attend.
Additionally, we will not offer outdoor kid games / cornhole this year, for sanitation reasons. Bring your own fun and enjoy the concert!
Roosevelt Square is the park located between the Hall County Courthouse and the historic Gainesville City Hall, right next to the Downtown Square.
Main Street Gainesville, a program focusing on economic vitality through Historic Preservation in our downtown commercial districts, offers free entertainment at Roosevelt Square on the first Friday of each month, from May through September.
All Parking Decks are FREE in Gainesville!
