Important Reopening Information
As we continue to navigate the pandemic, Gainesville Parks & Recreation has reopened many of our facilities and amenities.
We are making every effort to follow social distancing guidelines and appropriate reduced capacities in our facilities; while increasing our sanitization and safety protocols to protect our participants. However, we cannot guarantee safety from exposure. If you are suffering any of the following symptoms: fever, sore throat, cough and/or sneezing or have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not participate in our programs or enter our facilities at the time. Thank you for your cooperation.
YOUR PARKS ARE OPEN! Restrooms, pavilion rentals, courts, and playgrounds are open; please maintain social distancing. Park restrooms are sanitized daily, playgrounds are sanitized once per week.
FRANCES MEADOWS IS OPEN! Be advised, temperature checks are required and some activities have reduced capacities. The facility is sanitized multiple times per day.
FACILITY RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE! Per Governor Kemp’s orders; we are following social distancing guidelines and may be required to move your event to a larger room. Call now to see if we can accommodate your event.
Operational changes vary greatly by facility but residents can expect to see additional security measures focused around social distancing and sanitizing. Please read below for specific information for each facility.
