Citizens' Public Safety Academy

NOTICE 3/18/2020: Registration is still open but we will be postponing the start date. The academy will no longer be starting on April 14th. The start date is still to be determined, but we will notify you of the updates. If you have already registered, someone should be reaching out to you with further details. Thank you all!

Registration is underway now for the Citizens/Business Public Safety Academy sponsored by the Gainesville Police and Fire Departments. Classes begin April 14th. Participants must be 21 years of age. Instruction includes all aspects of police and fire topics including crime scene processing, ride-a-longs, gangs, narcotics, defensive tactics, fire safety, and more. Students will attend class for nine weeks and graduate on the tenth week. The program is free of charge. For more information call 770-287-0893.
