Gainesville's Fall Festival with a focus on local crafts
Mule Camp Market began many years ago as a farmer’s curb market near the downtown square. This market evolved into the Corn Tassel Festival, which focused on local craft exhibitors. In 1993, the Gainesville Jaycees revamped the event & renamed it “Mule Camp” to honor the city’s origins. In the years since Mule Camp has grown into a regional fall festival with crowds in excess of 75,000 for the annual 3-day event. We will have a new layout for 2021 as we adapt to many developing spaces in Downtown Gainesville, and the heart of the festival will be centered on the Midland Greenway.
On November 30, 2021, Gainesville turns 200. We are kicking off the Bicentennial Celebrations at Mule Camp with a free concert and fireworks on Friday night. Drivin N Cryin will headline and fireworks will immediately follow the show. The Bicentennial Community Stage will be located at the Midland Greenway Amphitheater at 682 Grove Street. View calendar details for the Bicentennial Concert for more information. The music continues on Saturday, Oct. 9. Local musicians, dance, various creative performances and even eating competitions will be happening at the Bicentennial Community Stage from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
