Midweek water outage planned near Civic Center

GAINESVILLE, Ga. (March 2, 2021) – To allow for the installation of water main valves, water service will be interrupted from approximately 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, for some customers in the area of the Gainesville Civic Center, the Gainesville Department of Water Resources (DWR) announced.

The DWR stated the brief outage will impact customers on Chattahoochee, Glenwood and Memorial drives.

Customers are urged to take necessary precautions to prevent damage to any equipment requiring water. Those navigating the area are urged to drive carefully, and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time.
