GAINESVILLE, Ga. (Oct. 9, 2023) – Taqueria Tsunami believes "Mi Casa es 'Tsu' Casa."

Taqueria Tsunami was created to bring you all the great flavors from the Far East and South of the Border, right to your plate. The idea behind the concept was a vision of delicious Latin-Asian fusion food served in a fun, contemporary atmosphere.

"At Taqueria Tsunami, we only use the freshest ingredients and never sacrifice quality," states taqueriatsunami.com. "We take pride in our culinary excellence and believe our unique menu and passionate service sets us apart from your typical dining experience."

Learn the ins and outs of Taqueria Tsunami, what makes it a Must-Try Monday-worthy stop and why you should make it a destination the next time you're in downtown Gainesville by reviewing additional information below.

WHO

Since it opened its doors in fall 2022, Taqueria Tsunami has pleased the palates of all who sample its fusion of Latin-Asian cuisines.

WHAT

What is in a name? In Taqueria Tsunami's case, a lot. The name Taqueria Tsunami was derived from the slogan "A Tidal Wave of Flavors" and brings together the best flavors of two cultures (Latin and Asian) from which their food is created. And Taqueria Tsunami's menu of decadent dishes and libations is sure to please. Wet your whistle with one of their margaritas, signature cocktails, craft brews or sangria, then dive into a starter like calamari, Asian nachos or empanadas, or even the avocado cilantro egg rolls or mini poke tacos. For your main, go light with the refreshing Southwest or Shanghai shrimp salads, traditional with tacos (the Korean carnitas and Gringo tacos are to die for), or take your palate on an adventure and try the South of the Border or tuna poke bowl Tsunami bowls, or the short rib or garden shrimp quesadillas. The fried yucca and tots with jalapeño queso are just a few of the sides that are sure to please. Finish off the meal with something sweet like the s’mores egg rolls or churros. Trust us, whatever you choose from Taqueria Tsunami's menu is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

WHEN

Get your Taqueria Tsunami fix every day of the week, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.

WHY

Taqueria Tsunami will not only leave your belly full, but your heart, too. "In an effort to directly impact the community in which we serve, a portion of the sales from our top-selling tacos are donated to the Georgia Red Cross," taqueriatsunami.com states. "In addition to this promise, during each grand opening we partner with a local charity to help raise awareness and funds toward their cause."
