GAINESVILLE, Ga. (April 18, 2023) – The City of Gainesville is working to resolve a construction-related network outage impacting telecommunication systems at the following departments/locations: Gainesville Fire Department (GFD) – Station No. 1, 725 Pine St. (Gainesville Public Safety Complex); Gainesville Police Department (GPD), 701 Queen City Parkway S.W. (Gainesville Public Safety Complex); and the Gainesville Department of Water Resources (DWR), 757 Queen City Parkway.
Please note, due to this outage, copies of reports and records distributed by GPD and/or GFD are currently unavailable. DWR is still accepting utility payments electronically, though in-person service may be slowed, in addition to cash and check payments. Web payments or bank payments via Bill Pay may be submitted here.
The City anticipates services will be restored by start of business day tomorrow (Wednesday), April 19. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, and appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during this time.
The Gainesville City Council meeting slated for 5:30 p.m. today, April 18, will still be held in the municipal courtroom at the Gainesville Public Safety Complex, located at 701 Queen City Parkway. Please note that Banks Street at Queen City Parkway is currently closed due to construction.
