Gainesville, GA – Gainesville Parks and Recreation announces that the Gainesville Civic Center is closed to the public through mid-March, 2021 for renovations.
First Floor renovations include the addition of three meeting rooms to accommodate smaller rentals or break out-sessions. Second Floor renovations include major video and audio upgrades. New flooring, painting and lighting will be added throughout the building. Hardwoods will remain in the Grand Ballroom. Cost for the project is approximately $1.2 million and will be paid for primarily through SPLOST VIII funds. These renovations are the first major improvements to this historic building since 1992.
