GAINESVILLE, Ga. (March 8, 2022) – Been craving some fun in the sun? You’re in luck! The City of Gainesville’s 2022 event season opens this week with the return of Food Truck Friday.
The latest six-course serving of Food Truck Friday kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Lake Lanier Olympic Park, offering attendees a generous lineup of food and beverage trucks to choose from. The series will run once a month through August, with future events scheduled April 8, May 13, June 10, July 15 and Aug. 12.
“Lake Lanier Olympic Park is excited to bring back our most anticipated spring and summer series, Food Truck Friday,” said Gainesville Tourism Director Robyn Lynch. “Look for great live music, a variety of food trucks and kids’ activities.”
The following food trucks are expected at the March event: AF7 BBQ, offering mouth-watering smoked meats and seafood; Bill’s Grills on Wheels, offering American classics; All Around The World, offering world fare; Artisan Heat Bistro, offering wood-fired, brick oven pizzas; Carta’s Azucar Cuban Cuisine, offering the best Cuban sandwiches; Dot Bowl, offering Korean-style barbecue and bubble tea; Q’Paso Latin Grub, offering authentic Latin fusion dishes; Paw Paw’s Peanuts, offerings freshly squeezed lemonade, boiled peanuts and fried confections; Snowie Atlanta Creations, offering refreshing shaved ice; and Juke N Jive Creamery, offering creamy, melt-in-your-mouth scoops of ice cream.
Gainesville-based Dave Anderson Band will take the stage from 6-9 p.m. to energize the crowd, getting them on their feet and dancing to the beat. The band caters to all music lovers with a diverse set of original songs, as well as countless classics, whether it’s Memphis soul, Nashville chicken pick'n, smooth R&B, Motown or classic Southern rock.
Those interested in making the most of their night out may reserve in advance private lakeside seating, which includes a table on the grandstands with seating for six. A fee of $35 secures your table, which includes four seat cushions and two end chairs, allowing ample space for your group. Seating is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
