UPDATE (12:25 p.m. Sept. 27): Water has been restored. A boil water advisory has been issued for impacted customers until Gainesville Water Resources can confirm the water is safe to drink.
GAINESVILLE, Ga. (Sept. 27, 2021) – To allow for repair of a water main break, the Gainesville Department of Water Resources has shut off water to customers in the area of the Gaines Ferry Road/Sunset Court intersection.
This includes customers located on the following side streets: Bailey Drive, Club View Court, Gaines Ferry Road, Great Water Drive, Misty Cove Lane, Secret Cove Court, Summer Crest Court, Sunset Court, Sweetwater Point, Tie Down Court, Wooded Cove Court and Woodlake Drive.
The service interruption is estimated to last until 2 p.m. today, Sept. 27.
Customers are urged to take necessary precautions to prevent damage to any equipment requiring water. Those navigating the area are urged to drive carefully, and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time.
