GAINESVILLE, Ga. (April 13, 2021) – So the Gainesville Department of Water Resources (DWR) can perform system maintenance, specifically valve replacement, water service will be interrupted from approximately 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 17, for some customers near downtown Gainesville.
DWR stated the outage will impact around 80 customers in the following areas: Prior Street from Broad Street to Memorial Drive and all of Candler Street.
Customers are urged to take necessary precautions to prevent damage to any equipment requiring water. Those navigating the area are urged to drive carefully, and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time.
