Still like that Old Time Rock and Roll?
First Friday Concerts are BACK ON THE SQUARE in Historic Downtown Gainesville!
Still like that Old Time Rock and Roll?
Downtown Gainesville's First Friday Concert Series will continue with a free outdoor concert by MAINSTREET, Bob Seger Tribute band!
Bob Seger stunned audiences for over 6 decades with his incredible ballads and his version of good, old fashioned, rock and roll. Enjoy the sounds of MAINSTREET as the band recreates a "Seger Evening" with your favorites like "Night Moves", "Turn the Page", "Still the Same", "We've Got Tonight", "Against the Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me" and "Like a Rock."
To ensure a safe environment for everyone, and to be able to continue offering these concerts throughout the year, it will be crucial for our community to follow the social distancing procedures and respect the space of those around you.
This year, set up your chairs/blankets within the social-distanced circles that will be drawn on the streets on the square, starting at 6pm. Honor the walkway signs to keep pedestrian flow going around local businesses. Grab a bite and a beverage downtown or at a vendor in the park. The show starts at 7 p.m.!
Main Street Gainesville, a program focusing on economic vitality through Historic Preservation in our downtown commercial districts, offers free entertainment on the first Friday of each month, from May through September.
