Gainesville Parks & Recreation Foundation

For two decades, the foundation (formerly Friends of the Parks) has purchased land, developed greenways, and made significant improvements to your parks system. Every year, thousands of people enjoy Gainesville's signature community event, the Annual Butterfly Release at Wilshire Trails. You can support the Gainesville Parks and Recreation Foundation through memberships, sponsorships or by purchasing a bench or tree to honor someone special.
