Probation Services

Gainesville Municipal Court partners with Professional Probation Services to provide Probation Services to defendants. They are located at 731 Queen City Parkway Suite 201, and can be reached by calling 470-248-4090.

Responsibilities

Professional Probation Services is responsible for ensuring that defendants:

  • Comply with all terms and conditions of the court's order, such as:
    • Fine payments
    • Community Service Compliance
    • Any ordered classes (Risk Reduction, Impulse Control, Drug or Alcohol prevention)
    • Collection of restitution
  • Monitor probationers to ensure that there are no further violations of the law while on probation
  • Provide probationers with valuable resources such as:
    • Job announcements
    • Educational Opportunities
    • Community service programs

Probationers are seen by appointment only; please contact your probation officer for appointment information

If you have missed your scheduled appointment it is imperative that you report in person on the next regularly scheduled appointment date.

Probation Compliance

The probation officers job is to ensure that you comply with the Order of the Court. In the event you become non compliant with Court’s order, you will be brought before the court for a noncompliance hearing. The probation officer will make a recommendation to the court and the court will decide how to handle the noncompliance.

Professional Probation Services accepts Money Orders and Credit Cards (4% processing fee when using Debit/Credit Cards) ONLY.
