Public Art Wall

Public Art

While you are exploring Gainesville, you are very likely to find paintings or sculptures or perhaps even a little gold "BURD." These installations of Public art are displayed in accessible and visual areas across our community. What is Public Art? It is art created for the public through a public process on display within an accessible public domain. Public art is created specifically for a public place which influences or makes a difference in how an individual or community relates to that place. Public spaces may be outdoor or indoor.

The Vision 2030 Public Art Committee

Many of these are made possible by The Vision 2030 Public Art Committee which is committed to enhancing the lives of every citizen and the community's long-term economic vitality through the exhibition of public artworks.
