Strategic Planning
The City of Gainesville embarked on a strategic planning process for historic downtown in 2015 that involved extensive community input. Voices throughout Gainesville recognized the unique assets that define downtown. Building on these strengths, community members envision a walkable, connected downtown that preserves the rich heritage and character of Gainesville's past while embracing a vibrant future. Read the Downtown Master Plan (PDF), which integrates this community vision to create a road map for the future of Downtown.
