Parks
More than 1 million people visit our parks, athletic fields and facilities each year. Whether you like to walk along canopied trails, spend the day by Lake Lanier, enjoy a family reunion under a pavilion, or play to your hearts content, we have just what you are looking for. Gainesville Parks and Recreation is continuing the implementation of the 2030 Master Plan that focuses on preparing for the recent and future growth of the community. The Agency intends to upgrade and add amenities and facilities at every park, while also looking to acquire and develop new parkland.
