General Information

The Gainesville Human Resources department exists to support, guide and maintain a positive, safe and challenging work environment for its employees. It seeks to develop an outstanding workforce through effective employee recruiting and training, and to provide a competitive compensation and benefits program to ensure the City can attract, retain and motivate a skilled and knowledgeable employee base. The department promotes fair and equitable treatment of all employees using effective grievance procedures and delivers safety programming to reduce or eliminate safety hazards for employees and residents.

Human Resources strives to provide effective communication; timely, results-oriented feedback and excellent customer service to all of its internal and external customers.
