Where are the City of Gainesville Voting Precincts Located?

• Precinct 1 (Civic Center) represents Wards 1 and 2
• Precinct 2 (Fair Street Neighborhood Center) represents Ward 3
• Precinct 3 (Georgia Mountains Center) represents Wards 4 and 5

Where can I register to vote?

• Hall County Registrar's Office, 2285 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville, Georgia
• Any Public library
• Any location where you can obtain or renew drivers license

What are the qualifications for a Council Member seat?

• Has been a resident of the City of Gainesville for at least one year
• Has been a resident of his/her ward for at least six months immediately preceding the election
• Must be at least twenty-one years of age on election day

What are the qualification fees?

• Fees are 3% of the elected official's annual salary
• Fees are calculated in January of the election year
• In 2009, the fee was $606.00 for City Council Members
