What are the qualifications for Mayor or Council Member?

• Has been a resident of the City of Gainesville for at least twelve months prior to the date of the election
• Has been a resident of his/her ward for at least twelve months immediately prior to the date of the election
• Must be at least twenty-one years of age

What are the qualification fees?

• 3% of the total gross salary of the office paid in the preceeding calendar year
• Fees are calculated in January of each election year

Where can I find information about my voting precinct?

• Visit www.sos.georgia.gov/MVP/
• Check your Voter Registration Card
• Contact the Hall County Registrar's Office at 770-531-6945 (business hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Where can I register to vote?

• Any public library
• Any location where you can obtain or renew drivers license
