Transportation Plan Community Meetings Announced

The City of Gainesville has announced plans to host three community
meetings to gather input for a Transportation Master Plan. City Traffic
Engineer, Dee Taylor, said the meetings will be held May-August to
present different phases of the recommended plan. “The plan
will build on Gainesville’s prior transportation and land use
plans. It will draw on previous studies and maximize the impacts of
future transportation investments with special emphasis on Gainesville.
Another critical component will be the input of the focus group
we’ve assembled as well as the community input," Taylor said.
The community meetings will be held May 8, June 27, and August 1.
All meetings will have an Open House format so attendees can stop by
between 5:30pm-7:30pm in the Sidney Lanier Room at the Gainesville
Civic Center and offer their input.
In addition to the meetings, citizens will find additional information on
the City website www.gainesville.org and are encouraged to complete
a traffic survey.
