Qualifying Packets Available for City Council and School Board Elections

Qualifying packets for the November 8, 2011 election are now available. Gainesville residents who are interested in seeking office to fill a Council Member or Board of Education Member seat for Ward 2, 3 or 5 should contact City Clerk Denise Jordan via email at djordan@gainesville.orgor by calling 770-535-6865 to schedule an appointment.

The packet, which was designed to assist candidates with qualifying and other election related matters, contains the Election Calendar, a Ward Map, information from the City’s Charter and other important documents.

The official qualifying dates will be set at the August 2 Council Meeting.
