Policies and ProceduresEvent DefinitionsOne performance shall not exceed a maximum period of eight hours, ending no later than 12 midnight. One event day shall not exceed a maximum period of 12 hours, including move in and move out. Time used after contracted limits shall be $100.00 per hour, plus applicable personnel fees. Rates are based on a "four wall" policy and include heat/air conditioning, lighting, and water. These rates do not include special personnel or equipment. Reservation of FacilitiesThe Georgia Mountains Center will tentatively reserve dates for a period of up to seven (7) days. After seven days, the date must be confirmed with a deposit and signed contract or the date will be released. A date is not considered confirmed until the required deposit and signed contract is returned to the Georgia Mountains Center office and executed. Deposits for dates are not refundable. Deposits and Rental PaymentsA deposit of the base rent is required at the time a license agreement is executed. An additional deposit may be required for anticipated advance expenditures. The balance of the rental fee and any additional expenses are due and payable in the office of the Georgia Mountains Center five (5) business days prior to the event. InsuranceCertain events are required to provide insurance as part of their license agreement. A certificate of insurance for public liability insurance must be submitted to the Georgia Mountains Center fourteen days prior to event move-in. Required limits for the public liability insurance are $1,000,000.00 for injuries sustained by one person, $1,000,000.00 for injuries to two or more persons and $50,000.00 for property damage coverage each occurrence, naming the City of Gainesville, a municipal corporation, as additional insured must be provided by the Licensee. Insurance must cover all move-in and move-out dates. Business LicenseCertain retail and wholesale lessees of the Georgia Mountains Center may be required to have a business license. The business license will have a $25.00 fee, per day, for activity in the Georgia Mountains Center only. Contact the Georgia Mountains Center Director for further information. Public Ticket Sales
The Georgia Mountains Center shall at all times maintain control and direction of the box office, ticket personnel and ticket sales revenue until settlement. The Georgia Mountains Center shall provide computerized tickets for Georgia Mountains Center events. Charges for the printing of tickets will vary, and payment for ticket printing is the responsibility of the Licensee. SecurityThe Georgia Mountains Center requires and will provide at the Licensee's expense, off-duty police officers for all event related security. ParkingParking is available in the Georgia Mountains Center parking deck, Main Street parking lot, and downtown parking areas. A parking fee may be imposed during certain events. Smoking PolicySmoking is prohibited within the Center as required by City Ordinances. Other operating Policies and Procedures may apply to events.
