Open House May 21-2030 Comprehensive Plan

The Gainesville Community Development Department will hold a
Public Open House Saturday, May 21 from 9am-12pm to gather
community input for the 2030 Gainesville Comprehensive Plan.
Gainesville Planning Division Manager, Matt Tate, said the meeting
is designed to get residents involved in planning forquality growth for
the City of Gainesville.

“The City of Gainesville is updating the 20-year comprehensive plan to
take stock of how it has changed over the last ten years, and to plan for
continued growth in challenging economic times. It builds on the strong
precedent established by local efforts like the Midtown Greenway, the
Neighborhood Planning Units, and Vision 2030,” Tate said.

Because the comprehensive plan is a document by and for Gainesville
citizens, community participation is crucial.
