Gainesville Georgia Government on Facebook

The City of Gainesville expanded its presence in the world of social
media today with the addition of a Facebook page. Communications
and Tourism Director, Catiel Felts, said the City has been using other
social media for several years. “We use You Tube and Vimeo for
Channel 18 and Parks and Recreation and Main Street Gainesville
have had great success with their Facebook pages. This will allow us
to publicize official government information, provide up to date
information on road closures and other service related issues, and
create another forum for discussion,” Felts said.
