Water Fitness Classes
(M/W/F 9:00am-10:00am): Shallow water exercise to get your morning started right! Provides low-impact on joints and improves range of motion, flexibility, muscle tone, muscle and core strength, posture, balance, and endurance.No swimming skills needed. All fitness levels.
DEEP WATER AEROBICS
(TU/TH 5:30pm-6:30pm & 6:30pm-7:30pm): A fun and effective water aerobic workout that teaches you how to use water as a powerful gym, where you’ll simulate many land-based workouts such as running, biking, weight lifting, kick boxing and more! Virtually any exercise you perform in a gym can be duplicated in the water without impact or joint stress, and often with greater intensity and range of motion. Deep Water Aerobics gives you the benefits of weights, aerobics and stretching in a nonimpact workout that focuses on calorie burning and improving all aspects of physical fitness.
GET WET AND SWEAT
(M/W/F 10:00am-11:00am): Take it to your own personal level of exertion! A combination of shallow and deep water classes that focuses on cardio endurance, core stabilization, strength, balance, and flexibility. Participants of all ages and stages of fitness are welcome.
(M/W/F 11:00am-12:00pm): Relieve stress and strain with stretching movements that train in water for life on land. This class is beneficial for those experiencing pain from arthritis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, rehabilitation, and chronic joint pain. All fitness levels are welcome.
(TU/TH 10:30am-11:15am & 11:15am-12:00pm): This class is designed to provide range of- motion work for the joints and gentle strengthening for all the major muscle groups. An instructor takes you through the progression of exercises, all done in shallow water.
(M/W 5:45pm-6:45pm): A shallow water class (chest deep) designed to provide improvements in strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. The water takes pressure off bones and joints, allowing you to get a great workout without the wear and tear that comes with other exercise. All ability levels are welcome.
STRETCH AND FLEX
(M/W/F 8:00am-9:00am): This new slower paced shallow water exercise will provide a relaxing, energizing, stretching movement with no impact on joints. Designed to improve balance and posture, improve endurance and flexibility.
(T/TH 9:15am-10:15am): A gentle water workout with little to no impact. Specifically designed for people with joint stiffness to increase flexibility and muscular strength. All exercises are researched and recommended by the National Arthritis Foundation.
Land Fitness Classes
(M/W 9:00am-9:55am): This fun and exciting class consists of choreographed aerobic dance and full workout routines with weights, strength and balance work, stretching and toning.
(M/F 10:00am-10:55am; TU/TH 5:00pm-5:40pm; Saturday 10:00am-11:00am- NEW CLASS!): A dance and fitness class that fuses Latin and international music and rhythms with fitness moves and interval training to create a dynamic, effective, FUN workout that everyone can do. Offered in Spanish on Saturday.
STRENGTH AND MOTION
(M/W/F 11am-11:45am): Exercise for ALL ages and abilities! Move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to strengthen your muscles and increase your range of motion.
(M/W 12:00pm-1:00pm): This class uses gentle movements and simple restorative stretches. Together, we will learn, reinforce and create comfort, peace and relaxation. Gentle flow and restorative floor work provide a well-rounded approach for feeling your best in mind, body and spirit. All levels welcomed and encouraged. (Please bring a towel to use as a prop).
(M/W/F 5:30pm-6:30pm): This program is an intense body changing workout for participants who want to make rapid changes to their body shape. S.W.E.A.T. combines cardio and weight training in a “boot camp” style format. Bring mat.
(TU/TH 9:00am-9:55am): Get a total body workout in this strength training class designed for everyone….arms, chest, shoulders, back, abs, glutes and legs. Please wear fitness attire.
(TU/TH 12:30pm-1:30pm): A blend of Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga moving from one posture to another. Meditation in motion, linking the breath with the posture. Develop a deeper awareness of your body while gaining strength, flexibility and balance. Appropriate for a large range of students as the instructor will offer variations for more or less of a challenge.
(Fri 9:00am-9:55am): This class is designed to improve posture, balance and stability while strengthening the abdominal muscles. Those new to Pilates will enjoy learning how to use their “powerhouse” muscles.
SLOW FLOW YOGA- NEW CLASS!
(SAT 9:45AM-10:45AM): Increase muscular strength and flexibility, improve balance and coordination, reduce stress and enhance the feeling of well-being while linking mind, body and breath. This class will follow the principles of a traditional Hatha Yoga class, while introducing fluidity in movement and breath. Begins with centering and warm up, slow flow Vinyasa (linking movement to breath mindfully), and moving to standing poses, which are held slightly longer for added benefit. Inversions are explored, along with modified back bending and balancing postures. Each class will have a theme, and room to explore and grow in your practice. For all ages, and fitness levels. Appropriate modifications provided for those with injury limitations.
