2014 Summer Day Camp Financial Assistance

Summer Day Camp Financial Assistance for 2014 helped made possible through United Way of Hall County and will be open to both City of Gainesville and Hall County residents for 2014 only.

All applications must be submitted 7 business days prior to registration deadline at the Gainesville Civic Center M-F 8am-5pm.  Space is limited. Approval of financial assistance does not guarantee space in camp. Participant portion of fees must be paid and registration must be complete.

Goals of the Children At Play Fund

  • To enable greater accessibility to recreation activities which build self-esteem, promote good health, and offer a safe alternative for latch-key children
  • To encourage children who may be at health or social risks to participate in supervised recreation programs
  • To eliminate participation barriers such as fees and added costs of equipment, supplies and transportation
  • To inspire community support for the Fund and its principles

Instructions for applying:

Financial Assistance is available for City of Gainesville Residents only.

Step 1:

Applications may also be found at the Gainesville Parks and Recreation registration desk.

Step 2:

Submit your application in one of the following ways:

Bring your application and required eligibility documentation to our offices located in the
Gainesville Civic Center, 830 Green Street, Gainesville, GA during regular business hours from
8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Mail your application and a copy of the required documentation to:

Step 3:

You will be notified within 7 business days of approval of your application.
Please remember to check registration deadlines and allow time for review of your application.

Certain documentation must be submitted with your application for consideration. Acceptable documentation that verifies city residency, applicant’s income and number of household dependents may be found in Section V of the scholarship policy. An applicant is required to submit this documentation only once during the calendar year -January to December. New documentation will be requested each year.
