DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
 If you purchase a home within the city limits of Gainesville, you can receive up to $7,500.
This program is designed to help people in a specific income range. The income limits change each year, so call us to double check. Household must earn less than the HUD income limits. Applies to all persons 18 and above.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:

You must be a first time homebuyer, meaning you have not owned a home in the past three years. |

The home you purchase must be the main place where you will live for the next five years. |

You must attend homebuyer education classes. |
After attending classes, you should be able to determine how much you can afford for a mortgage payment, what price range of homes you should be looking for, how to budget your money to increase your savings and handle emergencies that may arise, and how to read your credit report.
