PARENTING PROGRAM
Skilled home educators provide parenting skills and family support services to parents who want to learn more effective skills for positive family functioning. Education and support takes place in the family home through weekly visits. Educational topics include parenting, positive discipline, early childhood education, home management, nutrition, health and safety issues, and budgeting. Advocacy and referral services are also provided through the parenting program.
Eligible participants must be a resident of Hall County and be a parent of at least one child age 17 or younger. Referrals to the Parenting Program may be made by schools, hospitals, the Health Department, Department of Family and Children Services and other community agencies. Parent may also refer themselves.
Services are available in English and Spanish. There is no charge for services. |
