A QUIET PLACE IN THE WOODS PUMP STATION IMPROVEMENTS
CITY OF GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA
Separate sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the A Quiet Place In The Woods Pump Station Improvements are planned to be received by the Owner.
The Project consists of the following major elements: Furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary for the construction of two (2) new pump stations; approximately 1,180 L.F. of 4” Force Main including all necessary and required appurtenances; and erosion and sedimentation control.
The work will be awarded in one Contract.
Bidder Pre Qualification: Pre qualification of Bidders for the Project is required. A copy of the application and qualification requirements can be obtained from the office of the Public Utilities Engineering and Construction Services Division (phone number 770-538 2413) on or after January 6, 2010. Completed applications for pre qualification for bidding will be received at the office of the Public Utilities Engineering and Construction Services Division until 5:00 p.m., local time on Monday, February 1, 2010. All applicants submitting pre qualification documentation will be notified of their status by Monday, February 8, 2010.
ONLY BIDS SUBMITTED BY PROPERLY PRE QUALIFIED BIDDERS WILL BE OPENED.
Pre-qualified Contractors will be notified when copies of Contract Documents are available for purchase.
Each Bid will be required to be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond located in the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid.
The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise.
This Project is funded in part by the Enviromental Protection Agency (EPA) State and Tribal Assistance Grants Special Appropriations Projects (SPAPs) funds. The Contract will only be awarded to the Bidder who submits a bid found to comply with all the funding requirements as specified in the Contract Documents.

MOUNTAIN VIEW LAKE ESTATES WATER MAIN EXTENSIONS
CITY OF GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA
SEPARATE SEALED BIDS for furnishing all materials and providing all labor, tools, and equipment will be received by the Owner at the Public Utilities Engineering and Construction Services Division Office, 757 Queen City Parkway, 2nd Floor, Gainesville, Georgia 30501, until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Thursday, January 14, 2010. The Bidder shall provide on the outside of a sealed envelope the Bidder's name and utility contractor license number. Any bid submitted which does not contain the above information will not be opened and will be returned to the bidder. The Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:05 p.m., local time, on said date in room 305 of the Public Utilities Department, 757 Queen City Parkway, 3rd Floor, Gainesville, Georgia, 30501.
THE PROJECT consists of the following major elements: Furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary for the construction of approximately 7,290 L.F. of 8-inch ductile iron water main; 8,711 L.F. of 6-inch ductile iron water main; 1,811 L.F. polyvinyl chloride water main; the installation of approximately of 100 meters; including all necessary and required appurtenances and service changeovers; and erosion and sedimentation control.
THE WORK will be awarded in one Contract. The Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Contract Agreement, Drawings, Specifications and forms of Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other Contract Documents may be examined after Monday, December 14, 2009 at the following: Public Utilities Engineering and Construction Services Division Office, 757 Queen City Parkway, 2nd Floor Gainesville, Georgia, 30501.
PRE-QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS has been performed. Only Bids submitted by properly pre-qualified Bidders will be opened.

COPIES OF Contract Documents may be obtained, after Monday, December 14, 2009 at the Gainesville Public Utilities Engineering & Construction Services Division Office, 757 Queen City Parkway, 2nd Floor, Gainesville, Georgia 30501. The cost for said contact documents is $75.00, non-refundable, per set. All checks should be made to City of Gainesville. Street address, phone, fax number of your company and a FedEx account number must be provided to ensure prompt delivery.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held for all Bidders on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Public Utilities Engineering & Construction Services Division Department Conference Room at 757 Queen City Parkway, 3rd Floor, Room 305, Gainesville, Georgia. Only bidders in attendance for the entire meeting will be allowed to bid the project.
A BID BOND in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total base bid shall accompany each bid submitted. The Bid Bond shall be prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570.
PUBLIC RECORDS Any information contained in this bid is subject to public disclosure.
