Precinct 1 (Civic Center) represents Wards 1 and 2

Precinct 2 (Community Service Center) represents Ward 3

Precinct 3 (Georgia Mountains Center) represents Wards 4 and 5

What are the qualifications for a Council Member seat?

•	Resident of the City of Gainesville for at least one year
•	Has been a resident of his/her ward for at least six months immediately preceding the election
•	Must be at least twenty-one years of age on election day.

What are the qualification fees?

•	Fees are 3% of the elected official's annual salary
•	$441.00 for City Council Members
