Travel Camps Our most popular field trips all in one AMAZING camp. Ages 6 -12 Camp Travel Lotta May 21-25 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Fee: $200/City Discount $150 Come travel with us on a fun exciting field trip each day of the week. This week’s field trips include the following: Consolidate Gold Mine in Dahlonega, Fernbank Museum, World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium, and Zoo Atlanta. Camp Lotta Watta July 30 - August 3 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Fee: $200/City Discount $150 Get ready to get wet! This week campers will travel to a fun soaked destination each day of the week. Campers will have fun at their favorite field trips, Helen Water Park and Georgia Aquarium. Campers will also visit the new Geiser Tower attraction at Stone Mountain, experience the indoor water park at Bethesda Aquatic Center, and a day at the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center! Camp Travel Lotta 2 August 6-9 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Fee: $200/City Discount $150 Take Two! Travel Camp is back for a second time this summer! Come enjoy the sequel to a fantastic week earlier this summer. This four day camp will give campers one more exciting fun experience before school starts back. This week campers will revisit some of their favorite field trip of the summer, such as Helen Water Park, Fernbank Historic Museum, Stone Mountain, and the World of Coke! Location: Trips depart from Martha Hope Cabin Min/Max: 25/75 Register by July 23. Specialty Camps Princess Camp June 18-22 or July 16-20 Ages 4-8 Registration ends June 14 and July 12 Once upon a time… A number of princesses ruled the Gainesville Civic Center. This camp is perfect for all the little princesses in the world. Both sessions will begin with a trip to Build A Bear, because every princess needs a loyal friend. Campers will then visit Alter Ego for Kids for a facial and make up, Anastasia’s Tea room for high tea, and will spend a day at the Civic Center Castle to make jewelry and get pampered. Session 1 will finish the week with princesses visiting Medieval Times to watch all the Knights battle for their honor. To conclude session 2, princesses will learn to dance so they will be prepared to be swept off their feet by Prince Charming at the ball. 6/18-22 M-TH 9am-12pm; F 9am-2pm 7/16-20 M-F 9am-12pm Fee: $170/$125 City Resident Discount Where: Meet at Gainesville Civic Center Min/Max: 10/20 Ballet - this is an instructional class and does not require a special registration packet. June 7 – August 2 Ages 3-5 Come fly to a land of rainbows and butterflies as we dance and twirl like princesses! We will have many new exciting adventures planned for our ballerinas in this structured program designed for the early development of technical ballet and movement. It meets the needs and limitations of preschool age children by providing a carefully paced sequence of exercises to develop physical conditioning with poise and grace. Since children naturally respond to music and movement, the activities are presented through music. In the program, children will learn self-discipline, listening skills, coordination skills, left and right discrimination, patterns in movement and pre-ballet. 5:30-6:15pm Fee: $135/$99 City Residents Fees are prorated after first class. Where: Frances Meadows Center Instructor: Creative Movement and Dance Min/Max: 4/14 Chef Camp June 4 – 8 or July 9-13 Ages 6-12 Registration ends May 31 and July 5 Put on your aprons and chef hats, Chef Camp is here once again. This year as a part of Chef Camp, campers will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to operate a restaurant as we visit Cheddar’s Casual Café. Campers will also visit Papa John’s to learn how to make a pizza, and will perfect their bakery skills at Publix Grocery Store. To complete the week, campers will stop by Panera Bread, and learn how to create wonderful desserts at Bruster’s. 9am-Noon Fee: $120/$90 City Resident Discount Where: Meet at Gainesville Civic Center Min/Max: 6/10 Baton Camp May 21-25 or June 4-8 Ages 5 and older Learn to be a majorette or develop the poise and grace of one! In this camp you will learn the basics of baton plus dance from a University of Georgia Majorette, Clemson Tiger Twirler and former National Twirling Champion. Not only do you learn twirling and dance, but you also get to enjoy movies and other fun activities. Campers need to provide their own lunch, snacks, and drinks to have throughout the day. Batons will be provided or available to purchase at camp. As a part of Vet Camp, campers will visit and tour Animal Medical Care and learn what being a vet is all about. Campers will also visit the Yellow River Game Ranch, lend a hand at the Hall County Humane Society, check out the unique animals at the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve, and finish the week with a tour of Zoo Atlanta! Campers will start out the week with a morning hike at Amicalola Falls. From there, campers will play with some local loveable critters at the Hall County Humane Society, visit critters of the North Georgia mountains at Anna Ruby Falls, and explore the animal kingdom at Elachee Nature Center. Campers will end the week with a tour of Zoo Atlanta. M-TH 9am-12pm F 9am-4pm Fee: $150/$110 City Resident Discount Where: Meet at Gainesville Civic Center Min/Max: 6/10 Sports Camps Baseball Camp May 29- June 1 Grades 1-8 Registration ends May 25 Get a jump on the competition by coming and learning the fundamentals of baseball with Coach Jeremy Kemp from Gainesville High School. Hitting, pitching, fielding, base running, catching and the importance of stretching will be covered. Campers need to bring glove, bat, water bottle and small snack.
