Art in the Square this Weekend!

10th Annual Art In The Square Music and Art Festival, Gainesville GA

Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22, 2013

(Gainesville) The 10th Anniversary of the Art in the Square Festival kicks off on Friday, September 20th with a special free concert on the square. The John Jarrard Foundation presents this free event starting at 7 PM and featuring the Berklee College of Music students and President Roger Brown, Riverstreet Again and David Lee Murphy. The John Jarrard Foundation 2013 main stage event is on Saturday, September 21 on the Brenau University lawn at 6 PM (tickets available at johnjarrardfoundation.com).

Art In The Square is Saturday and Sunday September 21-22 in Gainesville’s Historic Downtown Square from 10 AM to 5 PM. Over 120 artists and artisans from all over the southeast will be displaying fine art, original oil paintings, unique pottery, hand-made jewelry and other fine crafts in an event made popular with both artists and collectors. Spend your day with working artists; enjoy live demonstrations, plein air painting, raku pottery firings chainsaw art, photography, recycled birdhouses and the Youth Artist Market hosted by INK (Interactive Neighborhood for Kids).

Live entertainment to include drumming and belly dancing, bluegrass, flute and string ensembles, Mexican folk dance, bagpipes and more, you will see it all at Downtown Gainesville's Tenth Annual Art In The Square!

The Art In The Square Association presents this free family-friendly event each year for the Northeast Georgia Community through an interdisciplinary partnership between area non-profits including: Main Street Gainesville, The Quinlan Visual Arts Center, Interactive Neighborhood for Kids (INK), The John Jarrard Foundation and Vision 2030.
