This year will be Downtown Gainesville’s 8th Annual Juried Art In The Square! The festival showcases local and regional artists and will take place on the Square in beautiful Downtown Gainesville on Saturday, September 17, 2011, sponsored annually by the Art In The Square Association and Main Street Gainesville.

Spend your day learning to quilt, making an African drum, seeing raku pottery being fired, and watching artists plein air painting. There will be entertainment such as belly dancing and live music, and great food from the local restaurants. Don't miss the infamous screen door artist, recycled birdhouses, or the Youth Artist Market! With over 90 artists displaying fine art, hand-made jewelry, unique pottery, and other fine arts and crafts, you can see it all at Downtown Gainesville's Eighth AnnualArt In The Square!
