Art in the Square is located on the beautiful Gainesville Square. This Juried Art Show includes a wide range of talented artists representing the Southeast region, performances, live music, great food and the kids art zone. Enjoy high quality arts/crafts in a natural outdoor setting.

11th Annual Art in the Square

September 20 - 21, 10am-5pm

Experience more than 100 of the Southeast’s most talented professional and amateur artists. This juried art show features fine art - from oils to watercolors, and mixed media. Marvel at the designs of hand painted jewelry and raku firing. See folk artist Bob McGill from Nashville as he creates one- of –a- kind pieces with oil and a razorblade! Step back to enjoy the buzzing of the chainsaw carvings with Carl Pirone. Be sure to check out the Interactive Neighborhood for Kids Youth Artists Market as well as the sidewalk chalk art show.

Don’t miss the alchemy drumming and dance company, facepainting by cherry-o-the-clown and entertainment on the corner of Spring Street. Enjoy a free concert on the square at 7pm on September 19 compliments of the John Jarrard Foundation. The Tyler Hammond Band will be opening for Blackboard.  Art in the Square opens Saturday, September 20 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, September 21 from 10am-5pm sponsored by Main Street Gainesville.
